Ms. Beatriz Arizu is an international consultant specialized in energy markets restructuring and regulation. She has taken part in the design, drafting and review of Electricity Reform Bills and bylaws, regulations and rules for electricity markets, system operation planning and grid code for unbundled power sectors, dispatch and hydro optimization models, pricing systems for electricity and for transmission, settlement rules, Power Purchase Agreements, contracts and Spot (or Balancing) markets, start-up of electricity Market or power sector reform and transition plans, pass though control formulas in regulated end consumers tariffs, tariff transitions and vesting contracts, competitive energy procurement of Distribution Companies and energy regional trading.
She has conducted economic surveys in competitive generation markets, particularly regarding new generation investment, privatization and vesting contracts for existing generation, operation and prices in hydrothermal systems, existing Power Purchase Agreements and trading between different Power markets or a Regional Market.
Beatriz holds a Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, graduated in the School of Mathematics at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina).
